The new sportscar from Audi that was recently presented in the Paris motorshow shares some of its engineering with the Lamborgini Gallardo. The body is made out of aluminium and magnesium, as well as carbon fiber to limit the overall weight and whealbase for more advanced balance of the sportscar. The R8 is inspired from the Lemans concept of 2003 and as a two seater is the company's first mid-engined road car, powered by a 420 bhp FSI V8 engine. What is new on this car that we havent seen before are the LED lights used both on the front and rear for advanced lighting and visibility. It features a six-speed gearbox with the option of automatic and potential prices ranging from £77,000 to £83,000. It is expected to be in production the summer of 2007 so don't be surprised to see this car in the showroom of UNICARS.
