Finally the Corolla replacement!	Dated : 10/10/2006
The long awaited replacement of Toyota Corolla is almost ready for production. Under the code name "Auris" Toyota decited to replace the the Corolla brand's name. Toyota seems to be using similar strategy as Ford did with the "escort" to "Focus". Although Auris was a concept, it has finally been recently shown at the Paris Auto Show. So far only the 5 door concept has been revealed but you should be expecting the sporty 3-door soon with the traditional T-Sport edition of producing almost 200 brake-horsepower. Toyota seems to be building upon the current Corolla chassis by changing the front end of the car and make it with a more futuristic appeal. Toyota as a traditionally Japaneese company seems to be copying from the rest of the automobile manufacturers designs and concepts. More specifically the glass roof has been adopted from the new Honda Civic 2006 as well as the twin triangle exhaust tips. So far only the 5 door concept has been revealed but we should be expecting the sporty 3-door version soon with the traditional T-Sport edition of producing almost 200 brake-horsepower. The expected price of the new Toyota Auris ranges from 9,500CYP the entry level of up to 15,000CYP for the T-Sport ediotion. Editor: Chris Theodoulou
